Christmas Time 2009

Christmas is one of the busiest times of year for Miranda and me. We love to be with our family and experience this time with them. Our schedule was JAMMED with acitivities, and instead of making this an eternal blog entry, I wanted to share some of the most eventful things that happened, and some fun traditions.

We always go up to Washington, DC with the Robertsons to see the lights. It's fun to spend that day with our family, bask in the glorious lights that surround the temple, and enjoy a wonderful concert in the Visitor Center.
This was a fun new thing. On Christmas Eve, we started at the Dudley's house and had a "Bethlehem Dinner." We enjoyed food that would have been eaten at the time Christ lived. While we ate, we read about the traditions of Christ, His birth, and other aspects of His life. In between narrations, we sang songs. It was fun to eat with our fingers (those of us who were brave enough to do so!).

One of the greatest experiences in life, and the most special of this Christmas time was when Ryan blessed baby Quin Robert Dudley. It was a beautiful blessing, and a privilege to be a part of that sacred prayer. Miraculously, this wonderfully colicky baby was completely quiet the whole time. We are so excited that Quin is part of our family! We love you Quin!
